As always, our Enrichment programs can not run without the help of Parent Chaperones. Aside from time, the only requirements to be a volunteer are that you are a PTSA member and an approved LWSD volunteer. Even if you are able to volunteer just one afternoon during the program, your time will be valuable in keeping our program running. Please reach out to ASP@muirptsa.org if you are able to share your time or have any questions.  If you are interested in volunteering as a chaperone for the full program, there are Scholarship incentives available!

We specialize in empowering young minds through engaging, interactive learning. Our experienced instructors create a supportive and fun environment where children develop essential skills in public speaking, debate, and leadership.

We emphasize critical lessons in sports, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports through a game-based and fundamental curriculum. All while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Players of any level are welcome! All of our coaches bring years of experience and success across multiple levels of play, including college and professionally in the Euro League.

It takes all of us pulling together to create the community we want.  Whether you have 1 hour per month or 5 hours per week, the PTSA has a way for you to be involved at John Muir Elementary!  Learn more about volunteer teams by clicking on the button to the left.

For 2024-25, we are seeking volunteers for these key roles.  All roles can be shared, and everyone works with the support of the Board!

Also seeking people to work on:  After School Programs, Bookfair, Legislative/ Advocacy, Grant Writing, Special Education Group, Spring Social.

These things could be fun if someone can lead:  Walk & Bike to School Day (in April, for Earth Day), STEAM Night, Math Challenge, Playground Cleanup, Science Fair, Used Book Fair, Community Cookbook, Movie Night, Dance Night, Grade Level Playground Playdates and more!
